Edwin Louis Cole

Edwin Louis Cole was born in Dallas, Texas. After living in California since the age of five, he moved back to Texas to be more centrally located for the expanding ministry. Both Dr Cole and the "Loveliest Lady in Land" Nancy Corbet Cole have now been promoted to heaven. Ed and Nancy, have three children: Paul Louis Cole, a Pastor & television producer; Lois Cole Bivins, attorney; and Joann Cole Webster, author and publisher.

Edwin Louis Cole is known as "the father of the men's movement". With seventeen World Regional Offices serving over one hundred countries, CMN ministers to tens of thousands of men each month via videotape, books, audios and Events.

Dr Cole's books have over two million copies in circulation in more that forty languages. Titles include: Maximized Manhood, Communications, Sex, and Money, The Unique Woman, The Potential Principle, Sexual Integrity, Real Man, Strong Men in Tough Times, The Irresistable Husband and Teasure.

Our unique purpose in life is to see men changed through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will use whatever means at our disposal to strengthen Pastors in local churches to enable them to build principles of biblical manhood into the men of their churches. “True Manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous.” 

 Mission

Mat 28:19, 20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

2 Tim 2:2 “And all the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

1. WE do not minister to men for reaction but for result.

2. Christian Men’s Network has been birthed out of God given revelation. God has given this word so that men may be directed, protected, and corrected in order that they may be conformed to the Word of God, who is Jesus Christ.

3. NETWORK Centres are established under local authority in the body of believers (i.e. the local church), and meetings are conducted under their auspices. The express purpose of establishing Network Centres is to enable the discipling of the men to take place in a Biblical pattern.

4. THE Network was not established to supplant the leadership in the local church, but rather to give opportunity for the leadership to develop a strong and effective ministry to men through resources such as monthly videos, books, tapes, ministry teams, individuals and ideas. Therefore leadership skills will be necessary to nurture other gifts and ministries for the purpose of building up Christ’s Body and bringing it to maturity.

5. DISCIPLING of men is the basic ministry of the church and pastor. Mature men make a strong church. A strong church makes a strong community. Strong communities make the nation strong.

6. WHEN men accept their responsibility to guide, guard and govern in righteousness at work and at home, stability and strength are provided both in the workplace and in the family.

7. ALL the materials offered by the Network are for the definitive purpose of discipling men, which in turn will bless women and children. Christian Men’s Network is not the idea of a man, but a manifestation of the wisdom of God to accomplish His purposes on Earth.

I believe God has called me to speak with a prophetic voice to the men of this generation. He has commissioned me with a ministry majoring in men, to bring them to an identification with Christ and impress them with the reality that "manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous."

The original message God gave me, with which the ministry began, is stated in the book, Maximized Manhood. Continuing understanding of the Word has caused it to grow and be multiplied. However, the basic truth of being identified with Christ, which is the essence of salvation, is finding greater application in men's lives today than ever before. We do not minister for reaction but for result.

In 1981, after twenty-eight years of ministry, we began "majoring in men." We have now ministered to 10,000,000 men in Christian Men's events, retreats, church services, videos, radio, television, books, tapes and satellite broadcasts. It is estimated that thousands have had life-changing experiences, or their marriages have been saved from divorce. To see men change through the power of the Gospel is our goal. For that purpose, to that end, and for God's glory, my life is given to fulfill His calling and to impact men with the manhood of Christlikeness.
