Meeting of Board Of Governors and Commissioned Men.

Auckland  Saturday 18th April 2009.

CMN NZ Director Mike Parks called us all to a meeting in Auckland last weekend. A great time of empowerment, vision, strategy and repentance and prayer was had. Mike reminded us that this was a ministry called with a prophetic voice to minister to the men of this nation that manhood and

Christlikeness are synonymous.

The meeting opened after prayer with an honouring of Richard Eames and his time of leading the ministry in NZ, breaking ground and reclaiming men for God. Richard continues to serve the ministry and we honour him as a spiritual father to many throughout our land.

Mike spoke of the need to re-dig the wells (Genesis 26). The emphasis was on the vision of CMN that ‘changed men will change the nation’.

Our vision reminded us that we serve pastors of churches by equipping them with the resources to disciple their men. Mike encouraged us as men to all be on the same page.

3 reasons why vision fails

1. Cost is underappreciated—it will cost time/ talent/treasure.

2. Work is too hard—( hey … it is hard )

3. Excitement couldn’t be maintained—and so momentum falls.

Ps Robert Owens challenged us in 2007—”where are your disciples?”

Guys—you have a passionate director and you have a passionate Board of Governors and passionate commissioned men’.

We will be in touch with you… we need your company, fellowship and we need to meet and sharpen one another. We need you to be informed, to read the mail outs, give feedback, encouragement and support. Bless you—You are a mighty man of God.
Ps Mike O’Gorman
